I am so happy to back in the classroom. Thank you for all the well wishes. We have had a very busy week.
Next week ...
Reading: We will look at the properties of poetry and read several selections to see that not all poems rhyme. We will also look at how to understand poetry. We will be practicing analogies.
Writing: This week we began our personal narrative. We will be discussing a Bold Beginning, Mighty Middle and Exciting Endings. We will also be working on using quotation marks and different end punctuation.
Math: We will continue our Ch 3 & 4 units of addition and subtraction with a test on next Wed. We will then work on money & counting back change by using subtraction and count-up.
Social Studies: We will be looking at state & local governments and how they are similar to the National government. The following week we will review Greece and Government with final test.
We do have one more Science lab on rocks that is a make up from last week.

Next Wed - Picture Day - All pictures are PRE PAY!! Your child will have their picture taken for the yearbook but you will not be given to chance to order later.
Oct 5- 14 is our ITBS and Cogat Testing.
Tuesday October 18 - Field trip to the wright center.
Oct 24-28 - Conference week - Early Release all week.
