Hello there,
I recieved an email this week asking for my help in recruiting dads for RAD DADs!!! So, here I am, asking for volunteers! Please consider any of the events on the form listed below. Oh, and I am also adding he email I recieved for one of the specific events they are asking for, so please take a look below!
Thanks everyone,
Mrs. Rhodes
Gentlemen,
Next week is the FIRST EVER Cocoa Cafe. You expressed interest in assisting with this event. Unfortunately, I am still shy on support from 4th grade dads so if you can reach out to any of your peers, that would be great for them to assist.
I need someone to step up and be the point man for the 4th grade on this project.
Point Man Responsibilities:
1 - Send emails to interested dads (I am cc'ing 4th grade teachers in hopes that they will get an email out to their parents that we need help w this program). The form for RAD DADS to fill out is also attached.
2 - Put away the supplies that are left over after the event
3 - Let me know how it goes and offer suggestions of how it can go better in the future.
If you want, I can come next week to help with the set-up. However, here is what is required.
#1 - Plug in hot water heater/coffee pot (holds appx 35 - 40 cups)
#2 - Make Cocoa (I would suggest making it about 5 minutes before it is to be served_
#3 - Serve the 4th grade kids. I can have a sign made and help to get you in touch with the "powers that be" at Murdock a get the RAD DADS a designated place to set up.
QUESTION: Do you think kids, in the future, could bring in maybe $.25 for a cup of cocoa? We need to find a way to self-fund the RAD DADS program and that could be a small way to do it. My other thought was to see if a company of a RAD DADS would be interested in sponsoring the program in exchange for getting their logo on the shirt or some other recognition through the school/PTSA.
Thanks for your volunteerism!
Ben
