Dear Lightning Bugs,
It is with heartfelt thanks that I write to you this morning. Thank you so much for the generous class gift. Many thanks to our room parents and special
grandparents who helped us celebrate yesterday. Most of all thank you for sharing your wonderful children with me this year.
I am doing a job that I truly love with children who are truly special. I feel blessed every day of the year, but I know that 2013 will be even better.
I pray that children and families all over the world can feel safe and loved. I also pray for the families of Sandy Hook during this trying time.
Hug your children and appreciate this time in their lives. Third grade is a great age because children are still young and wondrous, but there is a thirst
for knowledge and learning beyond their immediate lives.
Have a safe and healthy holiday break. Best wishes for the new year. See you in 2013!
With warmest regards,
Margaret-Ellen Laettner
