Kindergarten~ We are working on adding text and images to a document. Our special project is "I'm in the Panda Class".
1st grade~ First graders are also learning how to add and edit text and images in a document. They are creating a personal story about their school.
2nd grade~ We are learning the importance of graphing! Starting with reading The Hungry Caterpillar, we will graph what was eaten. Then the students will conduct their own surveys and graph and analyze the data.
3rd grade~ Third graders continue to work on their research standards! We are discussing symbols and the many symbols that represent Georgia. While working in groups, the students are researching a Georgia region and then creating an original symbol that represents that region.
4th grade~ We are creating sound stories using Audacity. The students are using Cobb Virtual Library to download sounds that create a story when played together. Afterwards, the students are writing a creative narrative about the sounds. These will be shared in class.
5th grade~fifth graders will be researching women in World War II and then writing a fictional story based on the information gathered. They will be learning how to cite their sources using MLA guidelines.
