Yesterday was a beautiful afternoon to do some "fall cleaning". A number of our "River Kids" and their siblings put on their rubber boots and picked up trash from a portion of the Sewell Mill Creek that we adopted. We found some very interesting items - from bags of doggie poop to baby diapers to a broken ceramic vase and even buried chicken wire. We worked hard to make the habitat as free from pollution as possible. Thanks to all of our "River Kids" who came out. You were great stewards of one of our most important natural resources - water. A shout out goes to Mrs. Hanauer, who came in her very fancy dress to support our cause and Mr. Tener, who worked up quite a sweat trying to pull buried chicken wire from the bank of our river.
